Phil Smithson hails from the UK and holds a first class honors degree in Software Engineering and is a Certified Scrum Professional. He is the owner of On-Off Group and has countless hours experience delivering workshops, including for large corporates such as Sun Life, KMC, Optum, McDonald’s, Unilab, Trend Micro, Phinma and also government entities like AusTrade, the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Department of Labor and Employment.
He previously worked for WPP, the largest advertising agency group in the world, and was involved with companies such as Unilever, Axe, L’Oréal, Del Monte, KLM, Maybelline and many more.
He is a member of the Philippine Software Industry Association Technical Council, an Industry Advisory Board member at Adamson University and a regular mentor for IdeaSpace and Founders Institute startups.

Despite not knowing anyone, working with my team wasn't awkward at all, and I got to know them quite well. I think it was mostly because of how Phil delivered his talk and how he created rapport with everyone in the audience. Everything was so fun, engaging and interactive, it really helped break down those awkward barriers, and get those creative juices flowing!

I learned how to really really get to a deep understanding of what clients need and compress them into general themes. I learned how to generate lots of ideas at a really fast pace. I learned how to develop solution models/prototypes and ideas really fast. Then TEST them really fast. I learned how engaging your customer is critical throughout the process. Definitely NOT another useless workshop.
